Contribution of eye-hand coordination, wrist flexibility and footwork to the accuracy of backhand drive PTM Pasir Pengaraian Players
The problem of this research is the lack of accuracy in the backhand drive of PTM Pasir Pengaraian players. The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of hand eye coordination, wrist flexibility and footwork to the accuracy of backhand drive. This research is a type of correlational research. The population in the study amounted to 15 people. Sampling was carried out using the census technique. The instrument of this research was a throwing and catching ball test for hand eye coordination, wrist flexibility test using a protractor, a side step test for footwork tests and a backhand drive accuracy test carried out with a backhand drive accuracy target mark test. The data analysis technique used Spearman Rho correlation analysis technique and multiple correlation with a significant level of = 0.05. The results of the study are, 1) There is a significant contribution of eye-hand coordination to the accuracy of backhand drive with the results of tcount 2.56 > ttable 1.75 of 35.28%, 2) There is a significant contribution of wrist flexibility to the accuracy of backhand drive with the results of tcount 2.62 > ttable 1.72 of 37.45%, 3) There is a significant contribution of footwork to the accuracy of the backhand drive with the results of tcount 2.43 > ttable 1.72 of 29.48%, 4) There is a joint contribution between hand eye coordination, wrist flexibility and footwork which is significant to the accuracy of backhand drive with the distribution coefficient fcount 4.76 > ftable 3.29 by 53.04%
